Common Name(s): Cootamundra wattle
Scientific Name: Acacia baileyana
Distribution: Native to Australia; also naturalized in southern Africa and southwestern United States
Comments: A small tree native to Australia, Cootamundra wattle is a very common ornamental tree within Australia as well as other parts of the world. Unfortunately, the tree has the ability to escape cultivation and is now considered an invasive species in many areas where it has been introduced.
